FAQ
Questions, answered honestly.
If something isn't covered here, ask, you'll get a straight answer and, where it's needed, a custom quote.
Project timelines depend on the package, the functionality involved and how quickly the required content and feedback are provided. Your estimated timeline will be confirmed before the project begins.
Generally: your logo or branding if you have it, any photos you'd like used, details about your services, and a sense of the style you're drawn to. If some of that doesn't exist yet, we'll work through it together.
Copy refinement is included with The Complete package, where your wording and messaging are shaped and polished with you. For other packages you provide the core content and receive guidance on organizing it. Need full copywriting? Reach out for a custom quote.
Yes. Redesigns are one of the services offered. Share your current site and what isn't working, and you'll get a recommendation on the right approach.
Always. Every package includes mobile and tablet optimization, and each layout is tested across screen sizes before launch.
In most cases, yes. Booking or inquiry integration is included with The Business and The Complete, and advanced booking setups are part of The Complete. Let me know which system you use and I'll confirm.
Connecting your domain is included. The domain itself is registered and owned by you through your registrar, so it stays in your name. If you don't have one yet, you'll be guided through it.
Hosting is not included in the packages. Hosting is an ongoing service you hold in your own name, and you'll be guided on a suitable option for your website before launch.
Most websites have some ongoing costs such as domain renewal, hosting or third-party tools, which vary depending on your setup. These are discussed openly before your project begins so there are no surprises.
Nothing is refused out of hand. You'll be told clearly that it sits outside the current scope, what it involves, and what it would cost, then it's your decision whether to add it.
Additional pages can be added. Just let me know what you have in mind and you'll receive a custom quote based on the extra scope.
Advanced functionality such as e-commerce, memberships, online courses, custom databases, multilingual sites or specialized web applications is not included in the standard packages. It's genuinely welcome work, it's simply quoted separately because it adds real scope.
Branding and logo design are not included in the packages. If you already have branding, your website is designed around it. If you don't, you'll get guidance on colours and typography for the website itself, and we can talk about what else you need.
Photography isn't included. You can supply your own images, and where appropriate, suitable stock imagery can be used. Good photography makes a real difference, so it's worth planning for.
Yes, a deposit is required before work begins. The exact amount, payment stages and final payment timing are confirmed in your client agreement before the project starts.
Payment stages, including final payment, are set out in your client agreement so everything is clear in writing before any work is done.
The Complete package includes two weeks of post-launch support for small fixes and questions after your site goes live. With the other packages, updates can be arranged separately whenever you need them.
Yes. Websites are meant to grow with your business. Get in touch whenever you need changes and we'll sort out what you need.
No, and be cautious of anyone who does. SEO setup and optimization improve the technical structure and search visibility fundamentals of your website, but no one can guarantee a specific position in Google's results.
No. A well-built website gives your business a credible, clear place to send people and makes it easy for them to get in touch, but results depend on your market, your offer and your marketing, so no honest guarantee can be made.
